Jerry L. Russell, 75-year-old resident of Fairdealing, MO, departed this life Monday, March 3, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital, in St. Louis, MO. He was born June 28, 1949, in Ripley County to Frances (Payne) Russell of Doniphan and the late Carter Loftis Russell.
Jerry had been a maintenance supervisor. He enjoyed being outdoors “playing” on his tractor, enjoying the peace and beauty of nature. When inside, Jerry was often reading or playing his guitar. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Doniphan and was attending Grace Christian Fellowship in Poplar Bluff, MO. Jerry had proudly served in the United States Army. He was a man of faith and convictions.
On December 2, 1982, Jerry married Patricia Williams in Ripley County. She survives. Also surviving are his sons, Matt Russell of Fairdealing and Scott Russell; his stepchildren, Jaykin Baucum of Doniphan and Vallan (John) Bush of Eagle River, AK; and a sister, Jane Russell of St. Louis, MO. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his father, Jerry was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Russell.
A graveside service will be held at the Doniphan City Cemetery on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Brian Sharp will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to The American Heart Association.
