James Edward Sheets, 80, of Willow Springs, Missouri, passed away on September 20, 2026, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. He was born on August 12, 1946, to John and Essie Sheets in Linn, Missouri.
After serving in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, Jim married the love of his life, Wilma Spencer, in November 1968. They shared an incredible 58 years together, filled with laughter and countless memories. Jim dedicated 38 years to CenturyLink Telephone Company and retired in 2005.
An outdoorsman at heart, he loved nothing more than fishing and hunting. But his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He was one of 16 children and is preceded in death by his parents and 14 siblings.
Jim leaves behind his beloved wife, Wilma; two sons, Edward Sheets of Willow Springs, MO, and Victor (DeAnna) Sheets of Branson, MO; four grandchildren, Emma Sheets, Mady (Jaron) Green, Lexy Sheets (Brady Byerley), and Jacobe (Kira) Sheets; and three great-grandchildren, Kipton Roth, Jagger Green, and Miley Byerley; and his sister, Lois Swetnam, of West Plains, MO.
