Jimmie Crewse

Jimmie Dean Crewse, son of the late Edward Johnson and Hattie Jane (Greenlee) Crewse, was born August 12, 1936, in Astoria, Missouri. He passed from this life October 3, 2024, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, at the age of 88.

Jimmie worked at the Fordick factory in Mountain Grove until being drafted by the United States Army. Jimmie served in the Army from November 1959 to February 1962. Following his honorable discharge, Jimmie came back home and began working for HD Lee in Houston, Missouri.

Jimmie attended the Number One Free Will Baptist Church of Huggins, Missouri, where he was a long-time member and served as pianist for several years.

Besides his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by four brothers, Ival, John, Billy, and Howard Crewse; two sisters, Audra Shelley and Dorothy Morrow; and one infant sister.

Jimmie is survived by three brothers, Ancil Crewse and wife, Marilyn, Floyd Crewse and wife, Lorene, and Fines Crewse and wife, Blanche, all of Huggins, Missouri; one sister, Imogene Hamilton of Cabool, Missouri; numerous nephews and nieces; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly.

Memorial contributions may be made to Union Chapel Cemetery (Graff) in memory of Jimmie.
