Jimmie Dale Fry was born April 1, 1933, in Alley Springs, Missouri, to James Paul and Beulah Jane (Julian) Fry and passed away peacefully at his home on January 27, 2021, at the age of 87. He was united in marriage to Cora Maxine Fry on February 11, 1956, in Eminence Missouri, and to this union, two children were born.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Maxine; parents, Paul and Beulah Fry; sister, Geraldine Wood; sister-in-law, Charlene Plowman; and brother, Cecil Fry.
Jimmie is survived by his sons, Wayne Dale Fry and wife Kelli of Springfield, MO, Michael Scott Fry and wife Cindy of Jadwin, MO; granddaughters, Kayla (Eric) Smith of Summersville, MO, Tyla Cozort of Nixa, MO, Taylor (Caleb) Marquis of Overland Park, KS; grandsons, Trent Fry of Little Rock, AR, Colton Fry of Jadwin, MO; and great-grandchildren, Weston Smith, Amadeus, and Persephone Cozort.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jimmie retired from the Park Service and enjoyed being the owner of Fry’s Grocery Store.
Jimmie attended the Eminence Christian Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021, at Yarber Mortuary, Eminence, Missouri, with Pastor Noel Vern Orchard officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-3:00 p.m. also at the chapel. Interment will be in New Eminence Cemetery, Eminence, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital.
