Jimmy A. Day

Jimmy A. Day was born June 4, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of David Day and Glenda Cousins Day, and departed this life on May 31, 2021 at the age of 70.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Glenda Day; his adoptive parents, Carl and Iva Day; and his sister, Mary Brite and husband James.

Jimmy is survived by two sisters, Barbara Cox and Janet Phipps; one brother, Sonny Day; one half-brother, Craig Wright; two half-sisters, Diane Smith and Toni; nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

He graduated from Koshkonong High School in 1968 and held jobs around the family farm until an accident left him disabled.

Jimmy was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.

He enjoyed riding horses and reading.  He especially liked working at the Koshkonong Pool Hall.

Jimmy loved eating on special occasions.  His favorite foods were angel food cake with peanut butter icing on his birthday and peanut butter fudge at Christmas.

He will truly be missed by his family and many friends.

Graveside services for Jimmy A. Day will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Shiloh Grand Gulf Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri with Wayne Hurst officiating.

Burial will be on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Shiloh Grand Gulf Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
