Joe Hathcock

Joe grew up in Iowa before moving to West Plains, MO in 1971 at the age of 16. He worked at various jobs around town. On August 7, 1982, Joe was united in marriage to Karla Dean in Gainesville, MO. To this union, three children were born Tracey, Travis & Joey. Joe was a very kind-hearted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was always supportive of his family and would do anything he could to be there for them. He never missed one of his kids’ ballgames. He enjoyed painting, drawing and watching wrestling. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Karla Hathcock of the home in Gainesville; his three children Tracey Hathcock of Gainesville, Travis Hathcock of Gainesville, and Joey Hathcock of Spring, TX; two grandchildren Landon and Lincoln Hathcock; seven siblings Louetta Carlson, Marily Hathcock, Steve Plumb, Cathy Russell, Rita Kelley, Louise Rhine, Bruce Hathcock; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Archie and Edna Hathcock; and six siblings Winston Hathcock, Vanton Hathcock, Eugene Bonny, Lola Marberry, Don Hathcock and Bonnie Hathcock.

Funeral services for Joe will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Wayne Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Clear Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to help with funeral expenses and can be left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
