Joe Lee Roberts, son of the late Reuben E. and Mildred L. (Douglas) Roberts, was born September 13, 1939, in Cabool, Missouri, and went to his heavenly home June 12, 2023, in West Plains, Missouri. He was 83 years, 8 months, and 30 days of age.
Joe Lee grew up in Cabool and graduated with the Cabool High School class of 1957. Following high school, he served his country in the United States Navy. After his service, Joe Lee had several other occupations before starting his career working in the oil fields in Texas, where he would eventually retire. After retiring, he moved back to Missouri and worked part-time for the Wehr Ford dealership in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
Joe Lee was united in marriage to Debra Lynn Sandridge on May 15, 2015, in Thayer, Missouri, where they then resided. Some of Joe Lee’s hobbies included spending time with his family, going to auctions and flea markets with Deb, and talking about the “good ol’ days.” He loved to tell stories.
Besides his parents Joe Lee was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Nina and Millard Wagner, and two brothers-in-law, Bill Sandridge and John Sandridge.
Joe Lee is survived by his loving wife, Debra Roberts, one daughter, Kristie Cardin and husband, Shay, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, two sons, John Roberts and wife, Janet, of Richmond, Missouri, and Jeff Roberts and wife, Annette, of Cabool, Missouri, twelve grandchildren, Casey Roberts and wife, Kristin, Tiffany Roberts-Hines, and husband, Mark, Ben Daub and wife, Lauren, Katelyn Micacchione and spouse, Ciara, Sam Roberts and partner, Lyndsey Carr, Katie Emmerson, Malissa Hawkins, Michaela Pyatt and husband, Logan, Colten Emmerson and wife, Meagan, Kali Cardin, Lane Cardin and wife, Kinzey, and Rylee Cardin, twenty great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, eight nieces, four nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
