John D. Bingham, a resident of Ozark, MO passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 21, 2021 while at his home. He was born September 10, 1937 to Edgar and Notra (Bailey) Bingham in Light, AR and was 83 years old.
John grew up and attended the schools in Stanford, AR, graduating from Stanford High School. His work history began at McHenry’s in St. Louis; from there he was employed at Combustion Engineering in St. Louis for more than 20 years; he then worked at Super Vacuum in Loveland, CO for 20 years building fire trucks. In 1957 he married Marie Hogland. He later married Marilyn LaFever in St. Louis on July 3, 1970. When John was not working, he had many interests in life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and carpentry. He was always very particular about their home looking nice and keeping it as a safe environment for his family. John was a kind, loving, and thoughtful husband and loved his family. He was reserved by nature and preferred one on one interaction as opposed to group gatherings. He greatly enjoyed the mountains with all their problems and pleasures and made a good “mountain man” in those ways. He will be dearly missed by his family, his friends, and all who knew him.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Notra Bingham; his sister, Eva May Bingham; and his brother, Walter Bingham.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Bingham; his children: John Bingham, Donna Fenski, Randy Bingham, Alison Norwood, and Lisa Long. He is further survived by two brothers: Bill Bingham and Burl Bingham and a sister, Norma South.
