John Edwin Davis, 59, of Camp, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Salem, Arkansas. John was born on May 17, 1965, in Chula Vista, California to James Richard and Eva Levell (Riley) Davis.
John spent his working years as a farm hand/farmer and served with the Camp VFD for over thirty years. He loved his family, friends, animals, and helping others. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and helped with the chain gang at the Salem High School Football games for many years. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, friend and was of the Christian faith.
John leaves behind his two daughters, Leslie Davis of Camp, Arkansas and Leah Eubanks and husband Steve of Blytheville, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Lillian Davis, Liam Davis, and Connor Eubanks of Blytheville, Arkansas; mother, Eva Davis of Camp, Arkansas; brother, James Aubrey Davis and wife Anna of Rogers, Arkansas; two sisters, Ellen Harris and husband Ray Gene of Jordan, Arkansas and Carol McBroom of Salem, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father (James R. Davis), brother (Danny Davis), and brother-in-law (Gene McBroom).
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 16, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until time of service on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will be Friday, August 16, 2024, at the Camp Cemetery in Camp, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be James A. Davis, A.J. McBroom, Bill Lowman, Zachary Harris, Jerry Barnes, and Doug Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Eubanks, Ray Gene Harris, Ray Romine, and Paul Davis. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Arrangements are entrusted to Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
