John (Johnny) Scott Pearson, beloved husband, pawpaw, son, grandson, uncle & friend to all, passed away on January 25th, 2025 near Caulfield, MO.
Johnny was born on July 24th, 1988, in West Plains Missouri. For those who knew Johnny, he was the type to drop what he was doing and help anybody, never expecting anything in return. A jack of all trades, he loved doing many things and would try doing anything just to prove he could do it. His passion was mechanical work, which was something his grandfather & father taught him how to do, and he spoke very highly of the skills he learned from the two men he admired & thought the world of. Johnny loved spending time with his nieces & nephews and family, and more than anything his heart belonged to his wife, her children, and their grandchildren who adored their pawpaw. He was the life of the party no matter where or what the occasion was, and he was always quick with a smile or joke. He holds a place in each & every one of the hearts of those who knew him and whose lives he touched. And to those like Jeremiah & Waylon who Johnny bragged about and protected them always.
Johnny Pearson is survived by his wife Sherie’ Pearson; their children Courtney Carter (Stephen Dees), Megan Carter and Michael Carter; their grandchildren Waylon, Kinley, Addison, Jaxon, Ethan, Gracyln, Hazel, and Owen; his parents Robert & Stephanie Pearson of Caulfield; father in law Daniel (Sara) Hodgson Sr of Udall; brothers Jerry (Marissa) Pearson, Jason Pearson, and sister Crystal Thomley, all of Caulfield, and brother in law Daniel Hodgson Jr of Caulfield; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. Johnny is preceded in death by his grandparents Raymond Pearson, John & Anna Martin, Frankie Yoder, and two nieces Madison & Alaina Sly.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2025 in the Elijah Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
