John J. Rizza Jr, 83, of Wasola, MO, son of John and Arcangela Rizza, died on August 12, 2024, at Baxter Health hospital in Mtn Home, AR after a long battle with cancer. John moved to Wasola from Warner, New Hampshire in 2021 to be closer to family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine and his sisters Josephine Porciello, Michelina Guarente and Katherine “Katie” Rizza.
He is survived by his son, Steven and wife Tammy Rizza; daughter Ann Marie and husband David Trench; and his brother Benedetto Rizza. He is also survived by two grandsons, Dakota and Jonathon; three great grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews back in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
John worked as a truck driver and retired from Roadway Express and was an avid member of the Teamsters local 25. He enjoyed meeting people and talking about old cars, hunting, fishing, and traveling with his wife. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
There will be a graveside service at a later date for family. Cremation services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
