John, who was known as “Pops” by everyone who knew him, was a hard worker. He was employed at Sparks Farm as a cattle rancher, and more recently for David Montgomery. He always enjoyed his co-workers throughout the years. John never met a stranger and was always available and willing to help a family member. However, it has been said that even though he liked to joke around, he was always brutally honest. He enjoyed hunting and loved to take his grandchildren to help them get their first deer. He will be dearly missed by his family, his friends, and all who knew him.
