Joyce Evaline Crum, age 83, passed away at Phelps Health on June 2, 2024, surrounded by her children. Joyce was born on December 17, 1940, in Licking, Missouri to Udell and Dorothy (Rinne) Floyd. She married Elbert Crum on March 8, 1958, and they shared three children and a lifetime of memories. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Crum, parents, Udell and Dorothy, and two siblings, Vernon and Donald Floyd. Joyce is survived by her three children, Mike and Melodia Crum of Battlefield, Missouri, Keith and Bobbie Crum of Battle Creek, Michigan, and Michael and Beverly Cooper of Licking, Missouri; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of family members, nieces, nephews, and friends. Joyce made her home in Licking, Missouri and raised her family with her beloved husband Elbert. She was loved and respected by everyone. She worked as a factory worker for many years, but her main job was being a wife, mom, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was full of compassion and always willing to help others in need. Her kindness and passion for living life was an example for others. Throughout the years she enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, and enjoying the outdoors. She brought joy and light into our lives with her kind heart, precious smile, and unconditional love. She was the “rock” in the family and will surely be missed.
