Kathryn “LeAnn” McCallister, age 76, passed away in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones on March 4, 2024. LeAnn was the daughter of Sam and Nettie (Patterson) Begley. LeAnn was born on October 23, 1947, in Harrison, AR.
She is preceded in death by both parents, her husband, Lonnie McCallister, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her three children, Donald, Lonnie, and Lance McCallister; grandchildren, Tamra Dodge and husband, Joel Dodge and Jessica Arthur and husband, Jeffrey Arthur; great grandchildren, Maddison Dodge, Kaidyn Dodge, Lillian Dodge, and Brantley Davis; along with multiple nieces and nephews.
LeAnn grew up in Raymondville, MO, attending both Raymondville and Houston schools. She obtained her GED at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. LeAnn married Lonnie McCallister on May 15, 1965, remaining married until his passing on October 7, 2008.
LeAnn was a beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt. She enjoyed her work as a CNA/RNA at Houston House Nursing Home for 21 years, retiring in 2009. After her retirement, she has enjoying tending to her flower gardens and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
