Kenneth Geib

 

   Kenneth Eugene Geib, age 93 of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, and a former long-time resident of Olivette, Missouri, Asleep in Jesus, Saturday, January 13, 2024. He was born on February 18, 1930, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, one of three children of Will and Lottie Geib. He earned his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and also honorably served our country in the Army during the Korean War. He worked his entire career for McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing. His noteworthy projects included the Tomahawk Missile, Gemini Space, and Three Mile Island Nuclear Plant.

   He was married to the love of his life, Imogene Etzold, on November 29, 1952, in St. Louis and they were blessed with 71 years together. They lived most of their married life in Olivette and were faithful, active members of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Outside of work and church, Ken enjoyed gardening, fishing, and investing in the stock market.

   Ken is survived by his loving wife, Imogene; one son, Steve Geib and his wife, Marie, of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania; one grandchild, Delaney Marie Geib; nieces, nephews, cousins, their families, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, CaraLee Jones and NormaLee Smith.

Services: Visitation at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9733 Olive Boulevard, Olivette, Missouri on Thursday, January 25 from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12 p.m.

Additional Funeral service will be held at Carter Funeral Home in Thayer, Missouri on Saturday January 27, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be Saturday January 27 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Pilot Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.
