Kenneth John Brauer, Sr., 80, West Plains, Missouri, passed away at 11:00 p.m., Monday, November 13, 2023, at Shady Oaks Healthcare Center, Thayer, Missouri.
He was born February 28, 1943, at Chicago, Illinois, to Arthur Herman Brauer and Katherine Marie Crowe Brauer. On September 23, 1995, he was married at West Plains, to Marie Callahan. Mr. Brauer was a proud veteran, having served with the United States Army. Before his retirement, he was a School Bus Driver and a Deputy for the Howell County Sheriff’s Department. Kenneth enjoyed farming and loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Brauer, of the family home; four children, John Brauer, State of Missouri, Bryan Brauer, West Plains, Ted Harris and wife, Cary, Caulfield, Missouri and Sandy Herman and husband, Andrew, Point Moss, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Lexie Brauer, Hunter Brauer, Ashley Shrable and husband, Jacob, Shelby Singletary and husband, Evan, Brian Russell and wife, Andrea and Brady Russell and fiancé, Casey; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, one grandson, John John, one brother, Arthur Brauer and one step-daughter, Teresa Russell, preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
