Kenneth (Kenny) Max Ragan

A memorial service for Kenneth (Kenny) Max Ragan, 77, Thayer, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2023, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Ragan passed away at 10:03 a.m., Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born December 17, 1945, at West Plains, Missouri, to Max Ragan and Virginia Chaney Ragan. On January 18, 1975, he was married at Charleston, Missouri, to Vicki Warren; they were married for 48 years. Kenny worked for Dodds Truck Line and retired from Chevron Oil Company in Louisiana. For 15 years, he served on the Rural Fire Board for Oregon County and for the last 12 years he has been chairman of the board. He never lost his curiosity about how things worked or how he could fix something when it needed to be repaired. Kenny could build anything out of metal and built many things for neighbors and people in the Thayer area. He loved to watch his children and grandchildren in all of their activities and interests. He will be remembered for being a caring husband, dad, grandpa and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Ragan, of the family home; two children, Marie-Alana Ragan (Joe Mobley), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Eric (Courtney) Ragan, Gothenburg, Sweden; two grandchildren, Glady and Jackson Ragan, Gothenburg, Sweden; sister-in-law, Judy Smith, Charleston, Missouri; brother-in-law, David Warren and family, Florence, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, one sister, Rhonda Butler, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Faye and Jimmie Warren and one brother-in-law, Jim Warren, Jr., preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Kenny’s name or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Eric Ragan’s name and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.
