Kenneth Lee, son of the late Ray and Edith (Newberry) Lee, was born March 9, 1943, in Dogwood, Missouri. He passed away December 14, 2024, at his home in Seymour, Missouri, at the age of 81.
Kenneth was born and raised in Dogwood and attended Fairview School. He met Bonnie Sturdefant and they were united in marriage on October 22, 1961, at Dogwood Nazarene Church. They made their home in Seymour, Missouri, and three children were born to this union.
Kenneth worked for Paul Mueller Company for 35 years as a stainless steel grinder. He made the stainless steel cross at the Seymour First Baptist Church that he was very proud of.
In his spare time, Kenneth loved woodworking and did some remodeling of a few homes. He also liked quilting, putting puzzles together, and horseshoe pitching. He won several horseshoe pitching competitions in surrounding areas and at the Seymour Apple Festival.
Kenneth was a Christian and loved working in the church. He served as Sunday school superintendent, Sunday school teacher, and song leader at various churches. At the time of his passing, he was attending Seymour Free Will Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by one grandchild, Sara Wheat; five brothers, Ray Conway Lee, Charles Lee, Lloyd Lee, Roy Lee, and infant brother Junior Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lee of the home in Seymour; two sons, Jerry Lee and his wife, Barbara, and Kenny Lee and his wife, Connie, all of Seymour; one daughter, Linda Spangler and her husband, Richie, of Seymour; one brother, Harold Lee of Ava, Missouri; one sister, Edith Leach and her husband, Bruce, of Berne, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Kristi, Kari, Cameron, Kyle, Tyler, Kris, Zack, Christen, and Lindzey; twenty great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; special Sturdefant nieces and nephews, Rick, John, Mike, Mark, Bill, Jean, Cindy, and Sue; other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
