Kyle Andrew Horning, 17, went home to be with his heavenly father. He passed away at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison WI, on July 29th 2022.
Kyle was born August 11th 2004, in Riverside California. He graduated from Ava High School, Class of 2022.
Kyle is survived by his parents Luke and Lauren Horning; siblings Luke, Jane, Gianna, Levi, Tessa and Elli Horning; Grandparents Robert and Linda Meacham and Linda Horning, all of Ava Mo. He is also survived by a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many dearly loved family and friends, as well as his beloved girlfriend Kara Merritt and her family.
Kyle attended both First Southern Baptist Church and Cross Point Church of Ava.
Kyle had many passions in life. He loved kayaking, fishing, FFA, collecting things, fixing things, and the clearance section at Walmart. Kyle would never miss an opportunity to help someone out, he truly loved serving others. Kyle was a friend to all, and never met a stranger. Kyle was a hard worker and put everything he had into everything he did. Kyle loved FFA and participated in several competitions. He and his team brought Ava High School to a Missouri State Championship win for Grasslands in 2021.
Kyle was always on the lookout for rusty, neglected or forgotten things, desiring to restore and breathe new life into them. He had an attitude that everything was worth saving and nothing was junk. This mirrors our Heavenly Fathers heart towards us. Are you hurting and broken? Please let Jesus restore and heal your life. He sees everything you’re meant to be.
Kyle’s Celebration of Life will be held at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home on August 11th at 10:00 am. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10th from 7:00-8:00 PM. Burial will be on their family farm. Officiating will be Pastor Wade Woods and Pastor Rick Spacek. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider donations to Ava FFA Booster Club.
