Larry Eugene (Boar) Price, 75, son of the late Gene and Reva (Keeny) Price,
departed this life December 21, 2024, at his home. He is survived by his
sister, Carol Hay, and brother-in-law, Bill Hay. Also surviving is nephew,
Daryl, and wife, Shari Hay, many Price cousins, and a host of dear friends.
Boar was born February 1, 1949, in Ripley County, Missouri. He was a1967
graduate of Doniphan High School. Here he participated in basketball and
was also a member of the baseball team that competed in state competition.
He was also a member of FFA, where he earned the Future Farmers of America
state award.
Boar entered the U S Army on January 15, 1969, and served 13 months in Vietnam.
Upon his discharge, he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam
Campaign Medal, and the National Campaign Medal.
Boar soon began employment with USDA, working as a Federal Meat Inspector.
He was employed with USDA for 31 years before retiring July12, 2004.
Boar enjoyed his retirement to the fullest for he was an avid hunter. He hunted
elk, deer, and moose in Wyoming and Colorado. He also hunted bear, which was one
of many trophies. Boar always hunted with family and his many friends.
Boar fished yearly with family and friends in Canada and Alaska. He always
caught the big fish! Also, he took many trips to Kentucky to visit friends and noodle cat
fish. Boar never met a stranger and always gave a helping hand to many friends and
family.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, in the Edwards Funeral Home
Chapel from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday,
December 28, 2024, also at Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Doniphan
City Cemetery.
