Graveside Services for LauraLynn Carmody, Age 71 of West Union Iowa (formerly of Ava, Missouri) will be held on Friday, June 19th, 2026 in The Mountain Valley Cemetery, Mountain Grove, Missouri, beginning at 2:00 PM under the direction of The Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove, Missouri.
LauraLynn Lee Carmody, 71 of West Union, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Emplify Health in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She was born to Karl and Dorothy Mae (Mixdorf) Eickhoff in Iowa. LauraLynn graduated from high school in Ava, Missouri.
On September 3, 1977, LauraLynn was united in marriage with David Carmody. Two children were born to this union. Throughout the years, LauraLynn worked at Norby’s, Upper Iowa, Lands End, and Palmer Hospital. She enjoyed playing cards and dice games and loved all animals. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving LauraLynn are her husband, David Carmody of West Union, Iowa; two children, Brad (Julie) Carmody and LeeAnn Carmody; grandchildren, Brady Carmody, Khloe Bennington, Lexi Carmody and Ayden Ledesma; and her sisters, Mica Brooke, Lisa (Drace) Feston, Gina Eickhoff, and Yvonne (Terry) Rogers.
Preceding LauraLynn in death are her parents, Karl and Dorothy Eickhoff, and her sister, Karla Eickhoff.
