Leonard Farris Spencer, 82 of Cabool, MO passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his home. He was born on February 9, 1939 in Lynchburg, MO the son of Frank and Norma (Quinn) Spencer. He was raised in the Lynchburg community and was saved and baptized at the age of 16 in Mill Creek near Lynchburg.
Leonard met his future wife, Sharon Garrison, on a blind date and they were united in marriage in May of 1962; to this union a son, Kerry was born. Shortly after, they moved to Kansas City where he worked in construction; from there they moved to Columbia, MO before returning to the Lynchburg area where they farmed until finally settling in Cabool.
Leonard enjoyed farming and raising all kinds of animals; from cattle, sheep, dogs and birds. He loved spending time with his family and faithfully attending church until his health no longer permitted.
Leonard was preceded by his parents; his wife, Sharon; a sister, Bonnie Willhite and two brothers, Glenn and Dorsey Spencer. He is survived by his son, Kerry Spencer and wife, Tammy of Cabool; grandchildren, Cody Spencer and wife, Makayla of Sparta, Trevor Spencer of Ozark, Sheena Page and husband, Chris of Mtn. Grove, Travis Spencer and wife, Sylvia of Iowa, Catlin Crawford and husband, Ty of Gainesville; great grandchildren, Alex, Aiden, Maddi, Cooper, Henry and Kayson; as well as several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
