Levi Daniel Gunter was born at home on October 1, 1982 to Janice and William “Danny” Gunter. Levi was the 4th of 5 children.
He is survived by his paternal grandmother Margaret Gunter (West Plains), his beloved mother Janice Gunter-Moss of the family home (West Plains), his brother David Gunter (Caulfield), his sister Tammy and Ricky Schulz (Mountain View), his sister Regina & Lee Skinner (West Plains), his sister Lacey and Casey Brotherton (Pomona), his daughter Ce-Ce Downen and Dom Tackitt (West Plains) and his grandson Khalil Tackitt (West Plains).
His survivors also include his nephew Brandon and Samantha Collins, his niece Heather and Aaron Marsh, his niece Danielle Collins, niece and nephews Nicole, Danny and Brian Brotherton and nephew Max Gunter. He is also survived by two step brothers, a step sister and four great nephews and two great nieces.
Levi was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Leslie Gunter, maternal grandparents Chester and Gertrude Croney, his father William Daniel Gunter, his step dad Jerry Moss, a brother in law Troy Pistole, his cousin Chris Gunter and numerous aunts and uncles.
As a young teenager Levi has a fierce love of the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized at the age of 14 in 1996. We know we will see Levi in Heaven one day.
Levi had a love of exploring the outdoors, caves, hunting, fishing, rock collecting, and finding Indian artifacts. Levi has a strong love of his family and a knack for writing poetry.
Levi’s adult years proved difficult, never quite healing from the loss of his father. Levi will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones, particularly the mischievous smile of his youth.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Davis Creek Church at the end of AB Highway in West Plains, Mo. Levi will be laid to rest in the family cemetery, Davis Creek Community Cemetery.
