Linda Kay (Dennison) Doan, daughter of Albert and Verna (Hodges) Dennison, was born August 24, 1953, in Tazewell County, Illinois. She passed away February 10, 2025, at her home in Fordland, Missouri, at 71 years of age.
Linda grew up in Illinois and graduated from Wyoming High School in 1970. She later attended Carl Sandburg College, receiving her LPN degree with honors.
Thirty years ago, Linda met the love of her life and best friend, Randy Freeman. She truly cherished their time together.
Linda enjoyed reading, cooking, word games, and taking care of her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Albert Dennison and Michael Dennison, her sisters, Sharon Bragg, Carla Glenn, and Donna Oldham.
Linda is survived by Randy Freeman of Fordland, Missouri, her daughter, Andi Rushing (Chris) of Galesburg, Illinois, her son, David Doan (Penny) of Cameron, Illinois, her brother, Richard (Rick) Dennison of Arizona, and her sister, Bonnie Griffith of Illinois, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
