Linda Gail Schaff, 74 years and 21 days old, passed peacefully to her Lord and Savior on January 16, 2025, at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri, with her husband by her side.
Linda was born December 26, 1950, in Santa Maria, California, to Fred and Yolande (Henry) Board.
She was raised in and attended school in Santa Maria.
On September 6, 1975, Linda and Jon Schaff were united in marriage in Santa Maria, California, and together were blessed with one son, Zachary.
She began her career in education and became a teacher. She taught in California for several years before moving to Ava. She also substituted in Ava at Ava Victory Academy and Ava Public Schools.
She was a Christian and an active member of the Ava General Baptist Church. She enjoyed everything about God’s creation. Whether it was driving the dirt roads of Douglas County, watching the birds in her feeders, planting flowers around her house, sitting around a campfire, or floating the rivers in the western U.S., she loved nature. Her camera went everywhere she went to capture the beauty she saw. Linda constantly prayed for any needs she was aware of. She found great joy in teaching children in any way possible.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda is survived by her husband, Jon; her son, Zachary Schaff; her siblings, Danya Carter, Cynthia Kohn, and Fred Board; nieces; nephews; extended family and friends.
Cremation services for Linda are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Missouri, per her wishes. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date and time.
