Lois Pauline Hicks

Lois Pauline Hicks, born on December 28, 1947, in the beautiful state of Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Her life was a tapestry of love, devotion, and unwavering faith, woven together with threads of laughter, adventure, and resilience.

Pauline was the cherished daughter of the late Paul and Effie Walker. Her life was enriched by her marriage to Albert Leon McCormick, with whom she shared many joyful years until his passing. Together, they welcomed their children, David Leon, Susie Ann, and Kimberly Lee McCormick, who, along with her parents, predeceased her. Her legacy lives on through her surviving family: her devoted husband, Tommy Earl Hicks of Willow Springs; her sons, Ruben Cornell and Justin Gregg McCormick; her stepdaughter, Christy Lee of Springfield; stepson, Jerod Farley Hicks; and her sisters Doris Taylor and Donna Hutsell, both of Cabool, Missouri, along with their husbands, Terry and Benny. Pauline was a proud grandmother to Chase Anthony McCormick Grogan, of Willow Springs and a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Pauline dedicated many years of her life to her work at Conway-Winter Shoe Factory in Willow Springs and Brown Shoe Co. in Cabool, Missouri. Her colleagues remember her not only for her diligent work ethic but also for her kindness and generosity.

Her love for the outdoors was matched only by her love for her family. Pauline found joy in the simplest pleasures of life: boating, fishing, camping, and tending to her garden, where her flowers bloomed with the same vibrancy as her spirit. She cherished the laughter and warmth of family gatherings, especially during the holidays. Whether she was making her famous donuts or enjoying a game of BINGO with her sister Doris, Pauline’s heart was always full.

Above all, Pauline’s unwavering faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ, was the cornerstone of her life. Her devotion to her faith guided her through life’s challenges and joys, and she found solace in her Lord even when her health prevented her from attending church. Pauline’s legacy of love, faith, and joy will forever be cherished by those who were blessed to know her. As we say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace.
