Lonnie Lee Morrison was born June 20th 1943 and departed this life on November 12th 2023 at his home in Alton, MO. He was the 3rd child of 5 to the parents Edward Lee and Myrtle May Morrison.
When Lonnie was 17, his father passed away, making him the soul provider for his mother and 2 youngest siblings and by the age of 22 both parents and his older brother Franklin Dillinger had passed on, leaving Lonnie as the guardian and caregiver to his youngest brother Ralph Edward Morrison (Bugs).
When Lonnie was 26, he married his first wife and they had 1 son together Jamey Lee Morrison (Donna) of Alton, mo. Later he went on to marry Lenda sue Morrison (Tillman) who had 1 son Jeffery James Tillman, 1 daughter Patricia Ann Marshall Lagos (David) and together they had a daughter Lonnie Lynn Tillman (Jeff) all of Alton, mo.
Lonnie wore many hats throughout his life, from a carpenter when he needed something built to a mechanic and handyman when he needed something fixed. He’s cut wood and hauled hay most of his life but his favorite hat to wear was a comic and critic. He liked to laugh and make Lenda mad but, in the end, he always made her smile.
Lonnie is preceded in death by both parents, his older brother Franklin, an older infant brother, his youngest brother Bugs, stepson Jeff and his beloved Lenda. He leaves behind his son Jamey, both daughters Trish and Tootie, 1 sister Ettie Marie Draper of Van Buren, MO and lots of friends and family. But most important to him was his 11 grandkids Jessie, Andy, Timber, Dillon, Kearra, Melissa, Rachel, Charlie, Blake, Aiden, Lexi Jo and 12 great grandkids Kyler, Colton, Riley, Jasper, Kamden, Skyler, Easton, Bella, Mason, Cyrus, Ravna, Rosalie and Rayven.
Lonnie will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Edward Casey officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 5-7:00 pm at the funeral home, burial in the Bailey Cemetery. Pallbearers; Scott Morrison, Jamey Morrison, Dillon Bradshaw, Andy Morrison, Brandon Prewett and Keith Simpson, honorary pallbearers; Jeff Myers, Blake Marshall, Jordan Johnson, Broady Thomure, Johnney Wilkerson and Aiden Yates.
