Margaret Ann Burrington

Margaret Ann Burrington, 83 years, 1 month, 22 days old, passed away on February 9, 2023 at the Magnolia Square Nursing and Rehab.in Springfield, MO with her family by her side.

Margaret was born December 18, 1939 in Corby Northhamptonshire, England to George and Katherine “Kate” (Gaunt) Moseley.

She immigrated to the United States in 1966 and lived in Iowa and Nebraska for 35 years.

On March 23, 1996 Margaret and Thomas Hayes Burrington were united in marriage in rural Hastings, Iowa. They fell in love with Ava, the community, and the little “Anglican” Church.

She was retired from working as a Seamstress. She was self employed for many years and designed many dresses and wedding dresses. Also, she and Tom raised sheep for several years in Iowa and Missouri. Margaret enjoyed her flowers, vegetable gardening and she loved all kinds of animals, especially dogs and stray dogs. She and Tom enjoyed traveling when they could. Margaret liked to volunteer in the community, and she was a member of the St. Francis Anglican Church in Ava.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gordon.

She is survived by her husband, Tom; her daughters, Jane Bolstad and husband, Lance, Louise Ramey and her husband, Ted;  her two step sons, Patrick Burrington and wife, Wendy and Michael Burrington and friend, Terri;  five grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Nick, Alex and Hailey; three great grandchildren, Jace, Jeremiah and Kristian; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Margaret will be Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Francis Anglican Church, West Hwy. 76 (1 mile outside of Ava) Ava, Missouri with burial following in the St. Francis Anglican Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend Glen Hartley. Margaret was passionate about the Ava Community Center, Hospice Compassus of Mtn. Grove, MO and St. Francis Anglican Church.
