Margie Helen Parrott was born the daughter of the late Henry F. Redburn and Grace Ella (Morrison) Redburn on August 9, 1933 in Oregon County, Missouri and departed this life on July 3, 2023 at the age of 89 years.
She was united in marriage on September 22, 1951 in Salem, Arkansas to Truman Parrott, who preceded her in death December 31, 2015 after sixty-four years of marriage.
She is survived by one son, Reverend Michael Parrott and wife Donna, Willow Springs, Missouri; one daughter Sherri Hensley and husband Reverend Craig Hensley of West Plains, Missouri; three grandchildren, Chad Parrott and wife Alexandra, Amanda Dickinson and husband T.J. , and Megan Moffis and husband Evan; ten great grandchildren, Eli, Lainey and Emery Moffis, Kaden and Kaleb Dickinson, C.J., Maddison, Orion, Truman Michael and Trinity Parrot; one special niece Sandra Westbrook; one sister-in-law Greatle Parrott; one brother-in-law Dewey Parrott and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Truman;her father and mother inlaw; two brothers; three sisters; four brother-in-laws, and three sister-in-laws.
Margie and her husband owned and operated a farm in Oregon County for many years. Besides helping her husband on the farm, she loved to crochet, cook, and spending time with her family.
She was a member of the Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church near Alton, Missouri for seventy years. After moving to West Plains in 2013, she attended the First Free Will Baptist Church and Union Grove General Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mighty Miracles, and can be left at the funeral home.
Visitation services for Margie Parrott will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery near Alton, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains, Missouri.
