Margie Mae Kelly, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away Saturday evening, November 21, 2020 while at her home. She was born May 5, 1950 to Emery Marcus and Rena Mae (Herrian) Sanders in Morrison, OK and was 70 years old.
Margie grew up in Morrison and attended the local schools where she graduated from Morrison High School. She married Roy Lee Kelly on January 14, 1970 in Burnham, MO. To this union two sons were born. Although she worked briefly for a day care, she was primarily a homemaker. Margie loved to have a large vegetable garden and would freeze or can the produce. She also enjoyed growing flowers and going horseback riding. Her favorite television programs were Barnwood Builders and watching RFD TV. It has been said she considered it a full-time job just to keep her husband, Roy, in line. She will be greatly missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Steve Kelly; four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her husband, Roy; her son, Gary Kelly of Seymour, MO; a brother-in-law, Ray Kelly and his wife, Janet of Willow Springs; two sisters-in-law: Betty Bass of West Plains and Arley Daves of Homedale, ID. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post #384 in her memory and may be left at the funeral home.
A memorial service for Margie will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at the American Legion Post #384 in Willow Springs with Pastor Kenneth Tooley officiating.
