Marilyn Kay Hawkins, 67 years and 25 days old, passed away on July 21, 2022 at Cox South ER in Springfield, MO with her family by her side.
Marilyn was born June 27, 1955 in Ozark, MO to Thomas Eugene and Joanne Lenora (Kenner) Jennings.
On June 10, 1972 Marilyn and William Gerald Hawkins were united in marriage at Ava, MO and they were blessed with three children.
She was owner and operator of a Canvas Manufacturing Co. out of Mansfield. Marilyn was a hard worker and had other various jobs and one being a Cook at Hucklebuck’s in Ava.
Marilyn was a Christian and had attended the Mansfield First Baptist Church with her family. Her joy was being with her family and friends. Marilyn was always thinking and serving others with a smile on her face!
She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Jennings and her mother, Joanne Self, step mother, Joy Jennings, her brother, Larry Powell and his wife, Doris, her sister, Carolyn Jennings, her nephew, Thomas Powell, her brother-in-law, Michael Tate.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Bill of the home, three children and their spouses; Ben & Deanne Hawkins, Kristina & Michael Frecks, and Billy & Carole Hawkins, 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, her sisters, Glenda Rhodes and Joyce Simms, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service for Marilyn will be Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following at the Dyer Cemetery of Ava. Visitation will be prior to the service at 9:00 A.M. Memorials gifts can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
