Marilyn Mae Bingham, a resident of Springfield, passed away at her home, Sunday, September 22, 2024. Marilyn was born in Drake, MO on December 31, 1939, to Lester W. Morre and Bernice Mildred (Gargus) Phinney and was 84 years old.
Marilyn worked at Marilyn Bingham Insurance, serving the community for 20 years. She married her husband, John D. Bingham on July 3, 1970, in Saint Louis County. Together, they raised 4 children. Marilyn spent much of her free time outdoors. She loved the mountains of Colorado and was an avid hunter. She loved to grow and collect plants, create quilts, and care for her cats. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, John; her son, John W. Bingham; and her parents, Lester Morre and Bernice Phinney.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Fenski; her daughter, Alison Norwood; her son, Randy Bingham; and her brother, Ronald Morre and his wife, Barbara. She is further survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service for Marilyn will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Willow Springs City Cemetery with Pastor Scott Williamson officiating.
