Marlin Mark Gebert

Marlin Mark Gebert was born in Wadena Village, Minnesota, on May 3, 1969, to Marlin Elmer and Louise Delors (Shamp) Gebert. He passed away on August 10, 2024, at his home at the age of 55.

Marlin was united in marriage to Amy Jo Phipps on October 6, 2018. He was blessed with his children, Charles Wesley Gebert, Johnny Lee Gebert, Micheala Diane Still, Holly Elizabeth Hoffrichter, Christina Marie Hoffrichter, Joseph Peter Gebert, and Elaina Louise Gebert.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Louise; sisters, Flossie Patricia Luedtke and Jaylyn Barnes; and brothers, David Barnes and Bobby Lee Gebert.

Survivors include wife, Amy; sister, Marlene (Sam) Murphy; children, Charles (Sonya) Gebert, Johnny Gebert, Michaela (Shawn) Still, Holly Hoffrichter, Christina Hoffrichter, Joseph Gebert, and Elaina Gebert; mother-in-law Patti Jo Patterson; and grandmother, Edna Phipps.

Marlin enjoyed woodworking, especially making heavy sturdy furniture. He liked to keep busy and was always on to the next project. He loved being in church. He liked to help others and would hold umbrellas for strangers. He enjoyed walking to town. He was always faithful. He loved spending time with his family and would sing silly songs and give random fun facts. He wanted to be like Santa Claus.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Interment will be in Center Hill Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com
