Mary Alice Norris, 85, of Birch Tree, Missouri, passed away June 21, 2024, at West Vue Nursing Center in West Plains, Missouri.
She was born August 22, 1938, to Claude and Flora Edith “Flossie” (Whitaker) Smith in Hutton Valley, Missouri. She was united in marriage on August 12, 1957, to Herbie Wayne Norris in Montier, Missouri.
Mary is survived by her husband, Herbie; children, Terry Norris, Cheryle Owens, Gary Norris and Jamie Norris; grandchildren, April Norris, Angie Norris, Ashley Keating, Jordan Owens, Chase Norris, Nic Norris, and Nate Norris; great-grandchildren, Elijah Plybon, Isaac Plybon, Logan Pugh, Garrett Keating, Maren Keating, Myla Norris and Evie Norris. She is further survived by her brother, Richard Smith, and sister, Carolyn Tapley; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Flora Lee Montgomery, and brothers, Billy and Don Smith.
Mary was a homemaker and caretaker of the entire family, whom she loved very much. She read her Bible a lot and loved her church, Christian television, and family gatherings. She was a quiet person who never liked being the center of attention. She was a very long-suffering and forgiving person. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Yarber Mortuary in Winona, Missouri, with Bro.Garry Reagan officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Winona, Missouri.
