Mary Ellen Thompson (Coble) will be remembered for her kind heart, selfless spirit, and deep love for her family. A devoted registered nurse, Mary spent her life caring for others and serving her community with compassion and generosity. She found joy in gardening, canning, baking homemade breads, and creating home remedies and tinctures, always eager to share her knowledge and help those around her.
Above all, she cherished her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her former husband, Larry Thompson; her children, Troy Hays, Kristen Thompson, and Kerri Thompson and husband Jeremy; her grandchildren, Lindsey, Allie, Tucker, Paisley, and Kimber; her siblings, Verlan Coble, Gloria Coble Hunter, and Randal Coble; along with many other beloved family members and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Oren and Barbara Coble; her son, Allen Hays; her sister, Brenda Coble Mittrucker; her brother, Rocky Coble; infant sister, Verna Mae; and her nephew, Robert Coble.
