Mary Hooper, age 79, passed away on October 5, 2026, at her home in Mountain View, Missouri. She was born on August 4, 1947, in Cortland, New York, to Frank Elias and Phyllis (Paul) Miner.
Mary married Francis “Frank” Hooper on October 1, 1966, in Groton, New York.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Phyllis Miner, and grandson, Troy Hooper.Mary is survived by her husband, Frank Hooper; three children, David (Dorothy) Hooper, Jason (Nicole) Hooper, and Carly (LaRue) Snell; two brothers, Robert (Hilary) Miner, and Richard (Joanne) Miner; and five grandchildren, Luke (Jax) Hooper and family, Cory (Laura) Hooper and family, Adam Hooper, Colt Hooper, and Kaden (Sarah) Hooper.
Mom was a beautiful soul and was a loving, devoted, and caring wife, mother, and caregiver to many. She loved to read, sew, paint, bake, and horses. She was married to Dad for 60 years and was always by his side from the start. This love and devotion took them across the country, where she touched even more hearts with her loving soul. Mom was a saint and will be missed.

A family-guided memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri.
