Mary Roanna (Rumfelt) Moore, who was loved and called Mama by her children and GrandMary by her grandchildren, departed her loving family on December 24, 2023. She was 80 years, 9 months, and 27 days of age.

She was born February 27, 1943, in Embree, Missouri, in Wright County, to Dorman A. and LaVern (Fletcher) Rumfelt. Mary was saved at an early age at Liberty Church. She attended school at Coldwater, graduated from Hartville High School, and attended Lake of the Ozark College.

Mary loved gardening, canning, cooking, doing puzzles and sewing. She embroidered and sewed many beautiful quilts. Mary loved spending time with her family and she loved to read to her children. She had a special love for nature and could name most plants and birds that crossed along her path when taking walks.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Dorman and LaVern Rumfelt; two sons, Michael Moore and Feron Moore; two grandsons, Joshua Moore and James Moore; and one great-granddaughter, Tinley Moore.

She is survived by five children, James Moore Jr, Edward Moore, Kathleen Wildt (Bryan), Molly Moore (Cody), and Elizabeth Moore; two brothers, David Rumfelt (Susan) and John Rumfelt (Janice), two sisters, Jeannine Barnes (Junior) and Joan Dillard; 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 1:00PM – 2:00PM at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home – Hartville.
