Mathew Ned Stone, 90 years, 4 months, and18 days old, passed away on April 17, 2023 at Ozark Riverview Manor in Ozark, Missouri.
Mathew was born November 30, 1932 in Longrun, Missouri to Samuel and Nora (Jones) Stone.
Mathew was a Christian and a member of the Bruner Baptist Church.
Mathew was an Army Veteran and served during the Korean War.
On November 2, 1951, Mathew and Artilla Silvey were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, Arkansas. Together they had three daughters, Jennine, Tuila, and Sheila.
Mathew enjoyed raising bees and hunting with his Brittany Bird Dogs. He loved his family and friends.
Mathew was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Artilla; grandson, Jared Spurlock; brother, Glenn Stone and sister, Martha Evans.
Mathew is survived by his three daughters and their spouses: Jeannine Spurlock, Ava, Missouri; Tuila and Alan Rumold, Topeka , Kansas; and Sheila and Rick Spurlock, Ozark, Missouri; six grandchildren, Regina Hampton, Raymond Billings, Tamera Billings, Charles Spurlock, Crystal Mayfield, and Sarah Spurlock-Paterson; numerous great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services for Mathew will be Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Thornfield Cemetery with burial to follow. Officiating will be Pastor Allen Maggard. Military Honors will be conducted by Troy Herd American Legion Post 112 and a U.S. Army detail at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Thornfield Cemetery.
