Melissa Rose French took a stairway to heaven on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024. She was born July 4th, 2006, to Evan and Dianna “Ducky” French. Melissa enjoyed reading, playing trombone in the band, watching horror movies, and singing along to every song on the radio. She was active at school and in her community, doing everything from cheerleading to FBLA to babysitting. Melissa loved cows, music, her friends, and her family – especially her little sisters Makayla and Brittany. Melissa strove to be a role model and an inspiration; she dreamed of becoming a math teacher. She was very much her own person and was not afraid to be herself. Melissa will always have a special place in our hearts and memories.
Survivors include: her parents, Evan & Dianna French, of Mammoth Spring, AR; 2 sisters, Makayla & Brittany; paternal grandfather, Charles Wayne French; maternal grandmother, Dianna Morse; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her paternal grandmother, Jewell (Wright) French; maternal grandfather, Hartley Morse; paternal great-grandparents, Noel & Rose French.
Graveside services will be 2pm Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the Saddle Cemetery in Saddle, AR. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO.
