Melvin Dean Mulvihill of Alton, Missouri, was born on July 11, 1941, in Decatur, Illinois, and passed away peacefully at his home on September 20, 2026.
Melvin married Maria Rodriguez on July 22, 1969, and together they had 1 child, Edith Erwin. Melvin was also blessed with 3 other children, Esther Pickens, Dean Harbour, and Ray Mulvihill.
Melvin is survived by his daughters, Edith and husband Darren of Lisbon, NY, and Esther Pickens and spouse of Phoenix, AZ; his son, Ray Mulvihill; his stepdaughter, Dara; more than 30 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria; his parents, William and Edith Mulvihill of Alton, Missouri; his son, Dean; and his twin brother, Marvin Mulvihill.
Throughout his life, Melvin enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He loved doing puzzles, going fishing, bowling, and playing Bingo. He will be remembered by his family and friends for the memories they shared and the love he gave throughout his life.
Melvin will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
