Michael Dale Cooper was born in Houston, Missouri, August 30, 1976, to Donna Cooper and Delbert Bannister. Michael departed this world on August 6, 2022, at the age of 45 years, 11 months, and 6 days.
Mike served in the United States Air Force in many different roles for our nation. He was in the 131st Security Forces Squadron to the 7th Weapons of Mass Destruction/Civil Support Team, and finally retired from Cannon Range at Fort Leonard Wood. He also served on the Mountain Grove Fire Department as well as Fire Chief for Northern Wright County. Mike was currently working as EMT for Texas County Memorial Hospital and also serving as an American Heart Association Instructor, and EMS Instructor for certification for Texas County Memorial Hospital.
Mike greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, along with hunting and bowling. Mike had a huge smile and could make people laugh. All who knew him will cherish the memories of yesterday, as he will be missed and loved in every tomorrow.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Bannister, grandparents, John and Margaret Cooper, and Bill and Jean Bannister, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nova and Janet Baney, and uncle, Dan Cooper.
He is survived by his wife, Candy Cooper, son, Michael Cooper, daughter, Rebecca Cooper and fiancé, Benjamen Barr, grandchildren, Anthony and Elizabeth, his mother, Donna Cooper, brothers, John Cooper, Paul Bannister, and Ernie Bannister, as well a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
