Monte D. Jordan

Monte D. Jordan was born July 3, 1938, in San Bernardino, California, to the late John and Eula (Prock) Jordan. He passed from this life on April 8, 2022, at his home in Rogersville, Missouri. He was 83 years, 9 months, and 16 days of age. Monte graduated from Hartville High School in 1956. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably, until receiving an honorable discharge in 1959. He then worked for many years at the United States Postal Service before retiring. He married Della Marie Davis on December 10, 1960 and to this union two daughters were born, Suzanne and Cynthia.

Monte enjoyed hunting, traveling, and spending time with family. He was a member of the Show-Me Model T Club, and he really loved attending charity events and holiday parades.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Della, a daughter, Cynthia Jordan- Branham, four brothers, Paul, Joel, Danny, and John Reggie. Monte is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Hill of Rogersville, Missouri, two grandsons, Ryan Hill of Ozark, Missouri and Catlin Hill of Valdosta, Georgia, three granddaughters, Meagan Carter of Edmond, Oklahoma, Whitney Smith of Farmington, Arkansas, and Kimberly Lane of Pilot Point, Texas, a great-grandson, Graham Smith, a sister Judith Wihebrink of Cassville, Missouri, many other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
