Muriel Eleanora (Sample) Booker was born February 22, 1927, to Kenneth Sample and Grace (Ward) Sample in Fountain, CO. She passed away August 25, 2024, in Stockton, MO at the age of 97 years.
Muriel attended and graduated high school in Fountain, CO. There in Colorado she met Leo Booker, and they were married in 1943. To this union were born Carolyn Ann and William Duane. In 1952 they moved to Licking, Missouri down on the Big Piney River.
She was preceded in death by husband, Leo; and daughter, Carolyn. She is survived by her son, William and wife, Trudy; grandchildren, Cheri Crawford, Christy Drennan, Natalie Seibert, Christy Cessna, Traci Bishop, and Leslie Booker; step grandchildren, Karla Adams, Chad Rust, and Ann Moore; and 17 great grandchildren.
A private graveside service was held at 11:00AM on August 28, 2024, at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Houston, MO with Pastor Russ Stigall officiating.
