Nola Maxine Lirley, 99 years, 5 months, 22 days old, passed on to her Heavenly home on August 5, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri with her family by her side.
Maxine was born February 14, 1923 in Dolph, Arkansas to Benjamin and Zelma (Hively) Hall.
Maxine was a retired Bookkeeper for her husband’s Clyde’s Shop, “C” Lirley Wheel and Frame Service for many years. She also worked as Secretary for the Plainview School, and for Tommy Roberts in the courthouse for many years.
On December 23, 1937, Maxine and Clyde Lirley were united in marriage in Augusta, Kansas. Together they had four children, Gary, Leslie Jean, Judy and James.
Maxine was a member of the Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church. She was very involved at the church as their Superintendent, Treasurer, Secretary Bible Teacher and Church Camp Director and Counselor. She was a published poet and loved writing. Maxine also enjoyed painting.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde; her brother, Galen Hall; four sisters, Reba May Hall, Barbara Ludlow, Willene Adams and Glenda Halcomb. Also preceded by Son -in- Laws, Larry Hampton, Jerry Huff, and Ron Smith, Great Grandchildren Lyndon Boyd, Mallory Whitaker, and Mandy Hampton, and great great Grandchild William Paul.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; Gary Lee & Alice Lirley, Leslie Jean & Ronnie Stout, Judy Smith and James & Debbie Lirley; many grandchildren, Les, Cindy, Mitzi, Lisa, Matt, David, Danny, Jake, Michael, Jamie, Sara, Madison, and Jordan; numerous great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Maxine will be Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Goodhope Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday prior to the service at 9:00 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor Bobby Page. Memorials may be made to the Goodhope Cemetery.
