Norman Earl Russell age 66 of Birch Tree, MO was born July 30, 1957 at Rover, MO and passed away May 8, 2024 in St. Louis.
He was united in marriage July 26, 1980 to Shirley Lou Lane in Willow Springs, MO at the Light House Assembly of God Church and to this union three children were born.
Survivors include, his wife Shirley, children Rebekah Amlin and husband Jason, Leanda and Dwight, five grandchildren, Brandy Amlin, Ashley Amlin, Felicity Kimbrough, Sierra Russell, Thurman Russell, two great-grandchildren Elizabeth Evans and Dustin Evans, brothers Leroy, Joe and Chris Russell, sisters Faye Wheeler, Berta Guy and Renee Turner and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Wayne Russell and Thelma Juanita Francis Russell, sister Glee Kind and brother Junior Russell.
Norman worked most of his life as a logger, wood cutter, hay hauler, working on his trucks and equipment. He loved driving his trucks and skidder. He enjoyed fishing, camping, floating with family, watching old westerns, but especially loved spending time with his brothers. He will be sadly missed by his family and community in which he lived.
Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Black Pond Church with visitation 6-8:00 pm Friday at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO. Burial will be in the Jolliff Springs Cemetery. Officiating will be Nolan Earls, Robert Turner and Daniel Woosley, music by Black Pond singers. Pallbearers Jason Amlin, William Russell, John Russell, Verlan Coble, JR, Rodney Robinson, James Lane, Matthew King and Brett Antrim.
