Msgt. Orville “Bill” Richard Plumlee, 72, of Neosho, MO departed this life to be with his heavenly Father on December 10, 2021 at 2:20pm. He was born on February 14, 1949 to Elsie and Samuel Plumlee.
He grew up a Bulldog in Gainesville, MO and always returned to visit with childhood friends, attend Hootin n Hollarin, eat at Skeeter’s Cafe, and attend many sporting events. Bill proudly served 20 years in the United States Air Force before retiring. He also served the United States Postal Service for 12 years.
He is preceded in death by sister, Wilma June “Spooky” Balentine; brother-in-law, Louis Balentine & sister, Janice Sue Dixon.
He is survived by his only daughter, Lana Gayle Plumlee; grandchildren, Kavan Ply & Brett Walton; and great grandchildren Kaidence & Elijah. Also survived by sisters Christine Plumlee, Brenda Lou Marberry, brother in law Jerald Marberry, and brother, Alva Dean “Sonny” Plumlee, along with a host of very loved nieces and nephews.
Anyone who knew Bill would know that he loved The Kansas City Chiefs & The Arkansas Razorbacks. He will forever be remembered and loved by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12-12:30 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO. Graveside service and Full Military Honors will follow at 1 p.m. at the Oakland Cemetery. May you dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
