Oscar D. Ferguson, 57 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Jefferson Community Health and Life in Fairbury. He was born on August 5, 1968, in Mountain View, Missouri, to George and Sally (Woods) Ferguson. Oscar graduated from Willow Springs High School in Willow Springs, Missouri. He earned his bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. Oscar married Davina Beers in 1991, and they were blessed with two children. They later divorced. His career had him working many places, including Washington State, Tennessee, and Missouri as a manager for 36 years with Walmart and Sam’s Club before working as the manager at Tractor Supply in Marysville, Kansas for the last two years. Oscar married Barbara Enochs on January 5, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He served on the board for the Marysville Union Pacific Depot Preservation Society. Oscar was a true servant leader who left a lasting, positive mark on his community and workplace through his dedicated mentorship. Outside of his professional life, his greatest joy was traveling the country with his family. A man of many passions, Oscar could often be found canoeing, bowling, or playing darts, and he always enjoyed a lively trip to the casino. At home, he was an avid comic book collector and a dedicated science fiction fan who loved watching Star Trek.
Oscar is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Amber Chisholm of Lawrence, Kansas, Alexander Ferguson and husband Benjamin Eighmy of Pittsburg, Kansas, Evan Enochs of West Plains, Missouri, Lauren Enochs of Dora, Missouri; grandchildren, Lily, Natalie; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Johnson and husband Mike of Jackson, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents.
