He worked for Chrysler in Fenton, Missouri until his retirement. He also drove a truck during the times when Chrysler was shut down.
Otis was a ham radio operator and enjoyed talking to others around the country. He also enjoyed collecting and shooting guns as well as collecting movies and watching TV. Otis loved to spend time with his dog Gypsy!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Elsie Poe; two sisters, Debra Poe and Barbara Poe Steele and a brother-in-law, Gary Steele and brother-in-law, Butch Bay.
Otis is survived by his wife Gean Poe of the home in Arcadia, MO; his sons, Tim Poe (Margie) of St. Louis, MO, Otis William Poe II of Washington, MO; his daughter, Olivia (Libby) Herzberger (Nathan) of Valley Park, MO; sisters, Beverly (Poe) Bay of Richwoods, MO and Mary Poe of Wichita, KS; step-son, John Miller Jr. of Arcadia, MO; step-daughter, Kimberly Roam of Arcadia, MO; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
