Patricia June Martin

In Loving Memory of Patricia June (Conner) Martin, our beloved and cherished mother, and grandmother and aunt passed away peacefully on October 17th, 2024, at the age of 80 years, surrounded by her loved ones and faithful dog Rosie. Born on November, 26th 1943, in West Plains, Missouri, Patricia was a remarkable woman whose kindness, strength, and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Patricia was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She was a proud and doting grandmother, always eager to share stories, laughter, and moments of love with them. Her love for animals was also a defining part of her life—her horses, dogs, birds, and even squirrels were her faithful companions, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She always spoke with a soft sweet voice, even when she had a moment. She had a nurturing spirit about her, always taking care of those around her. She would lure you in with her stories, have you believing her, and then she’d hit you with the punch line. She always had a new critter in her house that she was taking care of – a true Disney Princess. She could take a canvas and paint and create a masterpiece. She had you believing that she got a tattoo of a squirrel on her hip. When you couldn’t find the squirrel upon revealing her hip, she’d say, “Oh, that little sucker must have run into the hole.” Her exceptional family meals is one of the many things she will be remembered by. If you knew her, your life was better.

A dedicated nurse for 40+ years with many of those years as a health immunization nurse at the Craig County Health Dept, her unwavering commitment to caring for others was a testament to her loving heart and gentle spirit. She was a nurturing presence to her patients, always going above and beyond to provide comfort and care.

Patricia was married to RC Henry in Mtn View, Missouri, and to this union, four children were born. She is survived by her children Elizabeth Jane and husband Gene of Vinita, OK, Steven Boyd and wife Sharon of Vinita, Rhonda Lea and husband Michael of Kiefer, OK, and Joseph Lane and wife Jessica of Vinita, Ok; She later married William (Bill) Martin. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren Scott, Sheila, Joseph, Jessica, Nathaniel, Cougar, Dakota, Dillon, Ethan, Wyatt, Josie, Tyler, Hunter, Remington, George, Haley and Joey and 17 great-grandchildren. Her cherished nieces and nephews and her loyal friends, both two-legged and four-legged.

Her legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those fortunate to know her. She is preceded in death by her father Joe Conner, mother Leatha Conner, brothers Robert (Bob) and Bill Connor, mother-in-law Maggie Henry, sister-in-law Judy Henry, nephews Bobby and Mark Henry, and great-granddaughter Elsie Henry.

Patricia will be deeply missed, but her jokes, memory and legacy will continue to inspire us all.
