Patricia (Trumble) Champ, a compassionate soul who touched the hearts of many, passed away on June 10, 2024, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was born on May 9, 1956, in Kankakee, Illinois. Her life, filled with love and laughter, will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was 68 years, 1 month, and 1 day of age.
Patricia’s journey was one defined by unwavering dedication to caring for others. As a Certified Nursing Assistant in various nursing homes, she wore many hats throughout her career and demonstrated her nurturing nature every step of the way. Her green thumb was evident in her ability to make any plant flourish under her care – a symbol of the life and vitality she brought to all those around her.
Beyond her professional life, Patricia found joy in the simple things that brought light to her days. She had an eye for collecting treasures – from rocks to dolls – each item holding a special place in her heart. Her weekends were often spent scouring garage sales, finding beauty in the overlooked, and creating new memories from seemingly ordinary objects.
A woman who found solace in nature’s embrace, Patricia could often be found basking in the sun, tending to her beloved gardens filled with vibrant flowers and thriving vegetables. Her love for animals and bird-watching connected her to the world around her in a way that reflected her nurturing spirit. Patricia was also a woman of faith and she loved her Lord Jesus Christ. She read her Bible daily and worked to grow closer to God every day.
Patricia was preceded in death by both parents, Donald and Lois (Rice) Trumble, as well as her loving husband, Mike Champ, one brother-in-law, Frank Peterson, and one brother, Ronald Trumble.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mikaela Byerley, and her husband, Sonny and Kristy Champ; five siblings, Sue Schutte, Judy Peterson, Michael Trumble, and his wife, Marilyn, Robert Trumble, and his wife, Kathy, Mitch Trumble, and his wife, Kim; brother-in-law David Champ and his wife, Patti; five grandchildren, Samantha Fuller, and her husband, Justin, Elizabeth Byerley, Ethan Norman, Jakob Norman, and Makenna Byerley; great-grandchildren Bay Fuller, Laken Fuller, and Amelia Norman, as well as many other friends and relatives that will miss her very much including her Autumn Oaks family that have been such an important part of her life and brought her comfort and joy.
